Newly Completed Projects
Southwest Carpenter’s Training Fund, Las Vegas, NV
In February of 2010, AVDB Group completed the installation of audio-video systems for eight Training Rooms located at the JATC Southwest Carpenter’s Training facility. These systems serve as an integral tool for instructors to share information with the students who are furthering their education as skilled tradesmen. The video design utilized Sanyo projectors with front projected Draper screens and the audio system consist of Listen Technologies wireless audio transmitters and speakers.
Conrad Prebys Theater, San Diego, CA
January 2010 marked the opening of the Conrad Prebys Theater Center at the Old Globe in San Diego. AVDB Group installed the audio, video and control systems for the Center, which houses the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre and the Karen and Donald Cohn Education Center.
The Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, a 580-seat arena style theater, features a Yamaha 02R96VCM-CA digital mixing console, XTA DP424 processors, Crown CTS600 amplifiers and JBL AC18/95 speakers.
The Karen and Donald Cohn Education Center is a performance and training space. The performance / training space which has a Crestron lighting system that easily allows the users to set lights for almost any situation. The Plaza entry has OWI LGS170 landscape speakers, which set a nice ambiance while waiting for the start of a show.

KPHO CBS, Phoenix, Arizona
In July 2009, AVDB was contracted to accomplish design build services for Meredith Broadcasting. The intent was to create a West coast hub at KPHO CBS in Phoenix that would house operations for KVVU Fox in Las Vegas, KPTV Fox 12 in Portland as well as KPDX PDX TV in Portland a “My Network” TV station.
AVDB Group worked directly with the Harris Broadcast division to assist in the implementation of the NetVX system and to ensure connectivity and functional operation with the three other stations. It was crucial that AVDB design a system that entailed triple redundancy for control as well as content to all three stations from the master hub here in Phoenix.
Engineering meetings were held weekly with Ed Williams, Chief Engineer at KPHO, along with Harris Technical Representation to ensure the project was on track and all issues were worked out prior to them occurring.
Products were utilized from the following manufactures: Avocent, Gefen, AJA, Harris Broadcast, ADC, TeleStreams, Evertz, Panasonic, Extron, Canare, TFT, Wohler, EEG, Wholer, RTS, Tandberg and Motorola.

New Contracting License
AVDB Group obtained a Low Voltage Contracting license in the state of New Mexico. Our new license number is: ES-3 365372. This is the fourth contracting license held by the company. AVDB also holds contracting licenses in Arizona, California and Nevada.
Newly Awarded Projects
Thunder Valley Resort Casino, Lincoln CA
AVDB Group is providing and installing a large-scale L-Acoustic Kudo audio system with L-Acoustic SB-28 sub-woofers in a new multi-use space for Thunder Valley Resort Casinos, located just north of Sacramento, California. Featuring dual Yamaha PM-5DRH consoles and Clair 12AM stage monitors, the system is designed to satisfy even the most stringent touring rider. The video system consists of Three Christie HD-10KM projectors and Stewart projection screens, with Panasonic cameras and switching. The system is designed as a turnkey mobile touring grade system that can be dismantled for use elsewhere on-site. 4-Wall out of Las Vegas is providing stage trussing, Theatrical lighting and Architectural lighting systems, as well as hoist motors and control. Completion is set for September 2010
On Semi Conductor Santa Clara, CA
The project consists of seventeen new boardrooms each equipped with Sanyo PLC-WM5500 video projectors, Draper video screens and Extron processing and room control. All classrooms feature equipment by AKG, Hitachi, Listen Technologies, Panasonic and Samsung.
Paradise Valley Community College, Scottsdale, AZ
Designed by Randall Willis of McKay Conant Hoover (http://www.mchinc.com), the installation consists of outfitting 22 classrooms with cutting-edge audio visual technology made by Listen Technologies, Hitachi, Panasonic, Samsung, AKG and Electro-Voice. Crestron is the control system of choice, and each classroom will be outfitted with a custom designed Spectrum Industries Media Manager lectern.
SGI-USA, San Francisco, CA
AVDB is contracted to upgrade the SGI-USA Cultural Center in San Francisco with a new 1 Chip DLP Sanyo PDG-DHT8000L video projector and Extron/Kramer processing. The audio system consists of Electro-voice loudspeakers processed with Biamp. A new Yamaha console will be installed along with a Vadio HD camera for image magnification purposes.
Ritz Carlton, Scottsdale, AZ
This prestigious high resort is undergoing a substantial renovation of its Ballroom space and ancillary spaces and AVDB was hired to provide and integrate the Audio Video and Digital Signage systems. The distributed audio system is Bose/Atlas Soundolier with Biamp processing and QSC amplifiers. Crestron control is deployed for AV and Room Control. An enterprise level Symon Digital Signage system feeding multiple LCD displays forms part of the project. AVDB is also contracted to provide the structured CAT6 and Fiber infrastructure throughout the facility.
Crafton College, Yucaipa, CA
AVDB was awarded this public works project installation project in April 2010. The Audio Visual systems will be integrated in the Distributed Education Lab, Learning Resource Center, Auditorium, Library and Multipurpose Community Recreational Facility. The AV systems consisting of Stewart Film screens, Panasonic projectors and Polycom video conference systems will be controlled by Crestron remote control systems and AV signal distribution is by means of Crestron Quickmedia. We were contracted in 2008 to Design-Build this state-of-the-art Audio Video Systems for Pureheart new Youth Building. The core audio system is L-Acoustic DV-Dosc with DV-Subs and SB28 sub-woofers. The video system consists of Panasonic HXP300 cameras, Sanyo video projectors and Stewart Video Screens. Completion is set for October 2010Mountain view Hospital, Las Vegas, NV
AVDB was selected to upgrade the twenty year old general and emergency paging systems for this Las Vegas based hospital. Processing is by Biamp, and the amplifiers are all four channel Lab-Gruppen Cx series devices.St. Therese at Carmel, San Diego, CA
As a design-build project AVDB will be installing Renkus Heinz Iconyx and I-Live systems in the new Parish Hall and Day Chapel. Processing is by Biamp and video projection is by Sanyo/Draper. The first use is scheduled for October 2010.Phoenician Ballroom Addition Project (Perini Building Company) - “The Ballroom at the Phoenician Resort”
In February 2010, competing against twenty other AV integration companies, AVDB was awarded the contract to provide and install Audio, Video, Integrated Control, and Lighting Control Systems for the Phoenician Resort’s 15,000 sq. ft. Ballroom Addition (Scottsdale, Arizona). The Phoenician is an AAA 5-Diamond Resort, and a Conde Nast ‘Gold’ List property.

Christ’s Church of the Valley Digital Video Upgrade Systems, Peoria Arizona
AVDB Group in a design-build partnership with Acoustic Dimensions is currently employed by Christ’s Church of the Valley, upgrading the main sanctuary digital video system, from a standard definition system to a 292-M digital 1080i high definition system. The specified equipment include upgrading the Ross Video digital HD switcher and video routers to HD-SDI specifications, supplying new Panasonic HD cameras and Pan-tilt heads and installing new rear project Christie HD-18K’s and a center projection Christie HD-35K projectors all with Stewart Film-screens. The current broadcast control room will also be refurbished to accommodate larger scale LCD and Plasma screen monitoring.

Eric Evans, AV Consultant. has over 17 years of Audio/Visual experience working directly with end users on a week to week basis including everything from the designing of complete productions, Audio/Video installations to set-up and tear-down of mobile sound reinforcement and video/media equipment. He also has twenty years of experience managing, administrating, and scheduling businesses services, programs and productions. He began his career as a professional musician early in high school in San Diego and did many recordings and toured professionally. Eric has been a featured performer at a wide array of concerts, venues and churches in Southern California, Northern California, New Mexico and Arizona.
Cathy Burgoyne, Operations Manager, joins the AVDB team with over 25 years experience in the professional audio video industry. Prior to joining AVDB she worked as the Operations Manager for a small well respected audio video design and custom automation company in San Diego for twelve years. Cathy understands the construction and AVC process from design to final completion so every project will receive meticulous hands-on coordination.
